Meeting Minutes


June 8, 2010
12:00 NOON
at Hartford City Hall 
 

Meeting was called to order by Sefcik at Noon. 

Members Present:  Ackerman; Clark; Moody; Nyhuis; Rodney-Isbrecht; Sefcik; Vawter; Yannie

Members Absent:  

Pledge of allegiance was said.   

Motion by Sinclair, supported by Moody, to approve the agenda as presented.  

                        Motion carried

Motion by Sinclair, supported by Nyhuis, to accept the May minutes as presented. 

                        Motion carried

  Old business:

Strawberry Festival report:  
Approximately 40 vendors and growing, Hartford Motor Speedway is providing bicycles for the giveaway; A & A amusements will be open 9:00am – Noon on Friday for PTO carnival of which will they will be contributing $200.  Rod Knockers has everything set up for the car show.  Parade is being handled by the Birmeles.  Chamber will be providing a meal for Levi Riggs, which will perform on Saturday.  Patty Borden would like to donate blueberries for the strawberry pancake breakfast.  McFarland Pies will be selling strawberry pies.  Berrien County Compassion Club would like to set up a table to provide information on the new medical marijuana law.  A lot of activity on the web site, the public is using for information and forms.  Need volunteers at the Chamber tent on Friday and Saturday.   

 Treasurer's Report      

Motion by Rodney-Isbrecht, supported by Yannie, to accept the Treasurer’s report and pay bills as presented. 

            Motion carried (Sinclair abstained)

 Other business:  

► Anchor Signs is meeting with Vawter to address the needed repairs to the Chamber Signs.            

Motion by Rodney-Isbrecht, supported by Sinclair to authorize Vawter to have signs repaired at a cost of up to $2,000.00.

                                    Motion carried

Adjourn the meeting at 12:57 P.M.
