Meeting Minutes


March 9, 2010

at Hartford City Hall 

Meeting was called to order by Sefcik at Noon 

Members Present:  Ackerman; Clark; Moody; Nyhuis; Rodney-Isbrecht; Sefcik; Vawter; Yannie

Members Absent:   Darling; 

Pledge of allegiance was said.  

 Old business:

Recap of annual dinner and “Best of” 2009 Awards were announced:  Best Overall Community-Minded Business – Kellogg Hardware; Best Retail Business – McFarland Pies; Best Service Business – S & A Automotive; Best Manufacturing Business – Mann Metal Finishing; Best Professional Business – Hartford Lions Club.  Visit the Best Of web page at  http://www.hartfordmichigan.com/coc/Best%20of%20Awards%202009.htm

Strawberry Festival report:   a tentative schedule is on-line at www.hartfordmichigan.com, discussion on entertainment; plans are coming together, Friday’s schedule is set and commitments have been made, still needing volunteers to assist with the weekend of Strawberry Festival. 

Election of Officers:  

Motion by Nyhuis, Supported by Rodney – Isbrecht, to appoint Tad Moody as Treasurer. 

                        Motion carried 

Motion by Nyhuis, supported by Sefcik to appoint RoxAnn Rodney-Isbrecht as Secretary. 

                        Motion carried 

Motion by Rodney-Isbrecht, supported by Sefcik to appoint Pat Vawter as Vice President.

                        Motion carried 

Motion by Nyhuis, supported by Moody to appoint Ron Sefcik as President.

                        Motion carried 

 Treasurer's Report    

Bank balance at the end of February $2,113.05, discussion on raising the webmaster annual fee from $550 to $850.  

            Motion by Daniels, supported by Vawter to raise webmaster annual fee to $850.00.

                        Motion carried (Sefcik abstained) 

Motion by Daniels, supported by Yannie, to pay bills totaling $1,267.90 as presented.

            Motion carried

 Other Business   –  None discussed

             Motion by Ackerman, seconded by Vawter, to adjourn the meeting at 12:45 P.M.

                        Motion carried
