Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Sefcik at Noon
Members Present: Ackerman; Moody; Rodney-Isbrecht;
Sefcik; Vawter;
Members Absent: Clark; Nyhuis; Yannie
Pledge of allegiance was said.
Motion by Rodney-Isbrecht, supported by Sinclair, to
approve the agenda as presented.

Motion by Sinclair, supported by Moody, to accept the
September minutes as presented.

Treasurer's Report - Balance of account is $3,701.15 not including CD
Motion by Sinclair, supported by Vawter, accept the treasurers report as presented.

Discussion Items:
- Signs - landscaping, Sefcik will contact road commission for guidelines. Vawter will get quotes for spring landscaping. Pat will let members know there is space available, she would like to add "In God We Trust" to the signs. Vawter also would like a directional sign added to the Downtown area, the City will address the sign needed.
- Radio Ads, Marketing Plan, getting information out to Chamber Members for 2011.
- Sinclair expressed thanks for volunteer help at the Safety Jamboree, it went great and served about 600 people.
- Strawberry Festival Committee meeting will be set after January, Levi Riggs has committed for the 2011 Festival.
- Welcome Packets for new business, with an invitation to join the Chamber, Sinclair and Moody will contact the new businesses and report back next month.
- Kim Sinclair presented the Chamber with their Strawberry Run Sign.
- Kim Sinclair announced Christmas in the Park will be December 11 with Chili Cook-off, lighted Parade, and pictures with Santa.
- Holiday Extravaganza
- Annual Dinner, February 15th, 2011, Speaker suggestions
- Nominations Committee for board members.

☼ It is with deep sadness that Chamber Board Trustee, Tim Nyhuis, passed away on 11-20-2010. Our Board was so pleased to have Pastor Tim represent the Hartford Federated Church as a Chamber member. He enjoyed working on the Strawberry Festival planning committee, greeting Strawberry Runners with a cold bottle of water, helping to organize the Strawberry Festival Horseshoe Tournament, as well as ensuring that there was a Kiddie's Parade and Strawberry Parade float for the Federated Church. Pastor Tim realized the importance of not only having a church in Hartford, but being part of and ministering to our community - especially to our Hartford youth as Youth Pastor in the earlier years of his ministry.
