YEAR to all!
If you were unable to attend the annual dinner meeting, you missed a good
time with a wonderful meal, catered by R.S.V.P. Catering-Panel Room, and
desserts by Personal Touch Cakes. The Chamber wishes to thank our
speakers, Sheriff Dale Gribler and Don Liles - Community Hospital,
Watervliet, for their presentations. It was very interesting to learn
more about the many ways these organizations help the surrounding
communities. Both are valuable resources in our rural area. Also, a big
t-h-a-n-k y-o-u
to all who worked on
planning the dinner and meeting.

An extra special
Certificate of Recognition
was presented
to
Mary Thornburg
for her years of
dedication to the Chamber. Mary is the longest, continually ACTIVE
chamber member with her service spanning from the Hartford Business
Association to the current Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce. The
extraordinary fact is that she isn't even a business owner, yet has given
so much to make Hartford a better place to live. As a private citizen in
the Community of Hartford, she faithfully served for several years on the
Hartford City Council, City of Hartford Election Board, Hartford
Beautification Committee, Strawberry Festival auctions, many Kiddie and
Strawberry Festival parade line-ups, Hartford Library Board, as well as
being actively involved in the Hartford Federated Church.

At
our regular January meeting this coming Tuesday, January 9th - 12:00 NOON at
City Hall, the board will elect specific president, vice president,
treasurer, secretary, and trustee positions.

is quickly approaching and committees will be forming, so watch the Chamber
mailings for dates and times of the festival planning meetings.

better assist Hartford area growth in a direction mutually beneficial for
