I hope everyone had
a nice holiday—now, it’s back to work. Our
Holiday Extravaganza
at the
Christmas In The Park
festivities brought
$1409.39 in gift certificates or merchandise to those who entered at
some of our Chamber member businesses or at the park. The grand prize
winner for a $100 gift certificate to Hardings Market was Ruben Favela.
winners list. Congratulations to those who won and thank you to the Hartford Chamber
member businesses who participated in making this a better Christmas
for 59 happy people. There was a good turnout for the festivities and
everyone seem to enjoy visiting with their neighbors and friends on a
beautiful evening with nice weather. Kudos to the Lions Club for a
great job of coordinating the parade and activities for
the
Christmas In The Park.

The
Chamber nomination committee is pleased to recommend Pat Vawter of the

for 3-year terms on the Chamber board. We appreciated Sheila Nye’s 4
years of service and wish her good luck in her new position at the
National City Bank in Portage MI. Hartford’s new branch manager, Toni
Yannie, has agreed to complete Sheila Nye’s position on our board.
Voting on the perspective board members will take place at the annual
meeting. The board will then vote on specific administrative board
positions.
A 2010 Strawberry
Festival kick-off meeting will be held on Monday - January 25th, 7 p.m.
at Hartford Township Hall. So, beat the weather by thinking
s-u-m-m-e-r
and come help plan the festival. As the festival grows, we need ideas
and volunteers to assist in the planning stage, as well as to help
during the festival. You are ALL invited to attend.
