With the temperature in the 90’s, and the mosquitoes thick, it's very hard to say, but... welcome to September. I hope everyone had a good summer and that we have a great fall. With school now in session, remember to keep a watchful eye out for the kids going to and from school. (Check the Local Events page for a special Hartford's Walk to School Day in October) ☼ Congratulations to the Concerts in the Park Committee for an excellent summer program, WELL DONE! ☼ At our September meeting, we will discuss the shop locally campaign presentation and entertaining other suggestions for shopping in the area, setting dates for the 2008 Strawberry Festival, and review sign insurance. As you may remember, we ran into a snag with the first quote on sign insurance. The problem was resolved with a different insurance company and the Chamber is approved for the Auto-Owners Personal Lines and Special Rating Program. More good news is that this means another benefit of savings to our Chamber members. If you are a Chamber member with Auto-Owners Insurance, you are eligible for the following discounts at the time of renewal:
