Received Citation presented by the Commander of the Seventh Fleet in service aboard the USS Piedmont for outstanding performance of duty in combat and support operations in Southeast Asian waters during the period of 4 Sep 1970 to 8 Jan 1971 providing outstanding repair availabilities and technical support to Seventh Fleet units. In order to insure the overall operational readiness of these units, it was often necessary for the crew to work around the clock to accomplish needed repairs.
