Annual Harvest in Van Lierop Woods

Hartford, Michigan

(also known as the woods beside the Thomas Mansion)

Just couldn't help myself....okay, I'm addicted to the breathtaking beauty of the daffodils and wild flowers that carpet Van Lierop Woods in the Spring.  I made my annual pilgrimage on Saturday, April 17th, 2004 and met two ladies enjoying the delights of the daffodils.  They work at the Van Buren County Historical Museum, east of Hartford next to the fairgrounds.  While on their lunch break, they wanted to experience a bit of heaven that Hartfordites have enjoyed for many years.  After picking a couple bouquets, they pondered which path to embark on next to continue their heavenly walk through the wood side of Hartford.

Go ahead, enjoy yourself....double click on any picture to enlarge for better viewing.  While you are at it, stop and enjoy a few memories that come along with your bouquet of lovely daffodils.
